ISSE Educational Training Guidance and Qualifications
The ISSE Educational Training Guidance and Qualification Facilities provide, on a friendly, supportive, personal lifestyle orientated, life-long learning, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) basis, a means of members acquiring a wide range of specialist knowledge and qualifications and attaining and maintaining a higher level of professional membership.
This consistent with the Institute’s holistic philosophy (which incorporates, amongst other things, conservation of properties, the health, comfort and financial welfare of property occupants (on a self-funding proactive, rather than reactive, basis) and world environmental concerns) and the official UK Government Office for Qualifications (Ofqual) competence assessment based requirements with independent quality assurance arranged via the Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE).
Training guidance which due to being competence assessment based involves no formal examination, ranges from basic awareness accreditation (or re-accreditation), generally rated at level 1 or 2 on the Ofqual RQF (formerly QCF) competence rating scale, to high level technically specialised Diploma qualifications, rated from RQF level 3 (approximately equating to A level) to RQF level 6 (level 6 approximately equating to a bachelor degree) and RQF Level 6+/7 (Building Pathology, Forensic Expert Witness and Research & Development level) which imbues confidence in the learner, confidence in the client, confidence in anyone referring such as architects/surveyors and accordingly provides for a better (more successful) service provider/client relationship and a more efficient, economical, healthy and safe environment for all concerned.
This is achieved by way of participation in a mutually agreed learning plan which takes account of both pre-existing and ongoing work experience (mentored or self-motivated), private study, Online Distance Learning (currently in the process of development at the Institute) and/or ISSE guided learning events (both residential and non-residential and based upon group and/or individual mentored events) with level 6+ training and qualification costs charged on a “pay as you learn” basis commencing at £1390 with additional contributions at various milestones subject to the extent of the learners pre-existing knowledge, experience, competence and qualification ambitions and enabling a fast track promotional route for the more competent, interactive and determined learners.
